Stupid Mast Cells

I returned from surgery yesterday after having a mast cell tumor removed.  I can't believe my rotten luck.  Last year luxating patella, this year a mast cell tumor.

This hurts and I'm unhappy but I feel a little more myself than I did post-op yesterday.

Long incision, but the good news my stitches come out in 10-14 days which means I don't have to be kept from running or jumping for a full 2 months like last time.

Post Op. 57 days!

I had my last 15 minutes on the aquatic treadmill. No problems!

I'll be taking 2 15 minute walks a day for the next 2 weeks, then I get to be myself again. I'll be cleared to run & play and be the overall nut I was designed to be.

I'm so excited.

Post Op. 36 days. X-ray day!

I have had my x-rays and things look really good. The fracture the vet created to center my patella is healing nicely. My patella is dead center, right where it should be.

I do have one pin that has slipped a tiny bit, but as long as it doesn't move from where it's at now there's no cause to worry.

I spent 15 minutes on the aquatic treadmill today and I received a lot of treats to keep me moving in the right direction. Yum!

The best news of all, I've been cleared to start taking regular walks again. Yay!

Post Op. Day 29

Back to the Water:

Yesterday I was back on the aquatic treadmill. Next week x-rays.

Post Op. Day 22 - Aquatic Treadmill Day

Today I went for my first walk on the aquatic treadmill. It was a little confusing at first. Then it was a little wet. Since the water was warm and I was getting treats I decided to just go with the flow.

Post Op. Day 16

• My fur is slowly growing in.
• My parents allow me to walk a little.
• No Running.
• No Jumping.
• No Stairs.
• No Fun!

Next week Aqua Treadmill! Hopefully my parents will take some video.

Looking a little better

One week after coming home. I've had cold laser and electrical stimulation therapy. My incision is looking much better.
