Never Underestimate the Power of a Cold Bath

So, last week I was stuck in New England in the middle of the heat wave in a very old house with no central air conditioning.  How did I face the ridiculous hot temperatures outside and the even hotter air inside?  Easily, I just took a couple of nice cold baths everyday.

Whenever I started to warm up my parents tossed me in the tub and filled it with very cold well water.  I love baths and I love being comfortable so it all worked out well.  It only would have been better if I had a friend to join me and maybe some food.

Until next time, keep your cool.  Ciao!

Life is So Much Better With Power

I love AC.
I love cooked food, well all food for that matter, except celery of course unless there's peanut butter on it.

Now where was I.  Oh yeah I love me some electricity.  It's so good I decided to wake up 2 hours early today just to celebrate.

Surely my parents don't mind me wanting to get up and do everything I normally do 2 hours early do they?

Stupid Weather

No Power!
No Air Conditioning!

Debris everywhere!

What kind of mess is this?!

Well at least it should be cool enough to get outside for a little while. :)

Hot! Hot! Hot!

Way too hot today. Definitely not Pug Weather™!

Letting pugs get too hot is a very bad thing.  Look at these articles from pugspot and pugvillage about hot weather and us brachycephalic types.  Not a good mix.

Pug Crawl - Now Why Didn't I Think of That

A Zombie theme and over 500 pugs at the 13th annual Portland Pug Crawl. Sounds like fun. :)

Returning to Normal

So I'm fully recovered from surgery, other than some fur that needs to grow out.  With some regular exercise I should enjoy a healthy complete life.  The tumor was type 1 with good margins which was the best outcome I could have under the circumstances.

So I'll go with a hitch in my step.  A hitch my parents say was caused by the surgery.  I say it was always there. ;)

Ciao!

Stupid Mast Cells

I returned from surgery yesterday after having a mast cell tumor removed.  I can't believe my rotten luck.  Last year luxating patella, this year a mast cell tumor.

This hurts and I'm unhappy but I feel a little more myself than I did post-op yesterday.

Long incision, but the good news my stitches come out in 10-14 days which means I don't have to be kept from running or jumping for a full 2 months like last time.
